How To Create a Monitor

In this tutorial we will set up a basic monitor.

 

Visit Web3Server.io

Click "Sign Up" located on the top right.  From here you can create a account using regular email, Google or Discord to login.

After you create a account, Sign in and Click "Uptime Monitor" and then "Create Monitor"

Name Your Monitor

Choose ping protocol.  For a normal Website it will be HTTPS.  Ping monitor will monitor Pings and Host/Port will monitor a specific port for example 8080. Some ports may not be open in our firewall.  

Enter "Host" to enter your domain, hostname or IP address to monitor.

"Check Interval" is the frequency for checks. For example if you choose 5 minutes, it will check the host every 5 minutes.

Click "Create"

Add email notification.  To receive alerts about your monitors, click "create notification handler" and choose email.  Enter your email to receive notifications.
